Feast and drink on God’s word.....
John 1:1- "In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He is the Word! Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."
Our bodies need food each day and our souls need Jesus. We were created for Jesus just as we were created to eat food each day. Every day we seek, unknowingly, unconsciously, or are distracted by these things to feed our souls with: drive to succeed, acquiring money, buying the unnecessary, concern for our images, finding the fountain of youth, validation on social media, music to change our moods, sensuality, prescription drugs, overeating, materialism, made up romance, alcohol, gossiping about others so we feel better about ourselves, self-pity, fear, pride, anxiety, and the very innocent, busyness! Did I leave anything out?? Haha. I am guilty of most of these at one time or another in my life! Anything (even good things) that take you away from eating His Word or seeking His righteousness will leave you malnourished and hungry. It satisfies for the moment, but just like fast food, we get it fast and it tastes so good in the moment, but it leaves us void of any nutrition and hungry again. So we continue …..And eventually we end up, unhealthy with bad habits, and no real lasting satisfaction or contentment. Do not be deceived by these things or our world’s culture and influence any longer. Sin and distractions are deceptive, and are meant to keep us for God by the enemy.
Jeremiah 33:3 "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."
As long as we allow ourselves to be deceived by these things, as long as we continue to eat the counterfeit for our souls. We will not know God the way He intended. He longs to commune with us in a very personal way.
Revelations 3:20- "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."

Romans 12:2 "And do not
be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of the
God."
Genesis 3:6- "So when
the woman saw that the tree was good for food,
that it was pleasant
to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took
of its fruit and ate."
The enemy goes to great lengths to keep us from ever tasting
and experiencing the goodness of God, by keeping us from spending any real time
feasting on the Word of God, our true source of joy and contentment!
Zephaniah 3:17- "The Lord
your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you
with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with
singing."
Some
of us are very aware of our deficiency and others are not aware at all, but we
wonder why God has not answered prayer, why God hasn’t changed anything in our
lives. Why we don’t have victory, we so
desire. And yet we don’t even question
our responsibility in this relationship.
All He requires from us is to believe who He says He is and get
to know Him.
If we don’t change our spiritual diets, or we continue to eat
what the world is dining on, we will go to heaven, but miss out on the peace
and inexpressible joy that surpasses our human understanding that only comes from knowing and being with Jesus.
Eternity begins here in our mortal bodies with having a real relationship with Him experiencing His amazing power, majesty, peace, and joy. One of my favorite scriptures!!

Aren’t we tired of mediocre food and a mediocre life? He is waiting to be tasted and tried! Make this a priority in your life and take
time to dine with Him and taste the wonderful soul satisfying food he offers in Himself.
Jeremiah 31:3: "The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness."

Fabulous first posting. I feel fully fed a spiritual Thanksgiving.
